The base is 5mm aluminum encapsulated in 18/10 stainless steel for fast even heating to prevent hot spots. It will need to be cleaned for haven’t been used in a while. Pictures are of the actual item for I do not copy & share other sellers pictures. It been in storage for awhile but it’s that time to downsize and a lot need to find a new home. No chip or cracks on lid. I will be listing all my Princess House pots for I just have them packed away. I no longer have the boxes but I do use bubble wrap and will do my best to get them to their new home.
