For sale is an 8 qt 2-ply All Clad Master Chef stock pot with Lid. This model is discontinued, and relatively hard to find. This is the newer iteration of the Master Chef line, which is different from the MC2 line. This pot is made of aluminum on the outside, which allows for fast heat-up and quick adjustment to changes in temperature. As such, this pot is great for cooking dishes that require fine temperature control, while also being great for all normal stock-pot tasks. The aluminum exterior, while allowing for some desirable thermal properties, is not magnetic, so this pot will not work with an induction cook-top. The inside of this pot is high-quality stainless steel, which provides the best surface for cooking any type of food at the whole normal temperature range. Unlike nonstick coatings, which are not meant for high temperatures, this pot can go in the oven and boil water all day long without damaging the interior cooking surface. Also, unlike carbon steel and cast iron cookware, the stainless surface can handle acidic foods, such as tomato sauce, with no issues. The lid is the original, and is also in good condition. I originally bought this in brand new condition, and have used it only a few times over the last year and a half that I’ve had it. As a result, it is still very close to new condition. This item is not dishwasher safe, as the chemicals will ruin the aluminum exterior, so hand-washing is required. Get this rare piece of USA-made quality cookware in time for the holidays!
