The bodies, lids and handles are vintage items so there will be some signs of their age but these are very minor as this set has been very well cared for and is in GREAT CONDITION: FAR BETTER THAN YOU WOULD NORMALLLY EXPECT TO FIND IN ITEMS OF THIS AGE. The lid knobs are brand new, unused. 3 ply Rena Ware is suitable for electric, gas and induction cooktops. If you would like some high quality stainless steel saucepans at a very reasonable price this set will suit your needs as the items have lovely flat bottoms and very little evidence of pitting which tends to happen when sets are not well cared for. Please note that the melting pot is in almost immaculate condition which is quite an achievement as they are designed for heating over boiling water as you would do when melting chocolate and tend to get a little distorted on the base when subjected to direct heat and that has not happened to this melting pot so it has obviously been treated well. Rena ware has many excellent characteristics that you will not find in cheaper quality cookware: These saucepans are designed to make them ideal for serving food: the lid is inverted so that only the knob touches your benchtop and the saucepan fits inside the inverted lid and is prevented from slipping onto the benchtop so there is no danger of heat damage to the benchtop or table surface (see final photo). In addition the lip of the saucepan has been scientifically designed so that liquids being poured from the saucepans form a V in the centre of the pan and pour out in just the one spot so that it is easy to catch the liquid being poured and you don’t end up with a mess all over your kitchen bench or sink.
