I encourage you to avoid this item if you do not like any scratches for your own satisfaction. Most of these defects are minor. The most prominent scratch is underneath the lid. It does have some slight scratches and fingerprints on the lid and inside and outside of the pot. None of these scratches are deep or rough. It appears that this pot was used once as you can see the marks on the bottom of the pot from being placed on a gas stove (third picture). It was cleaned with something more abrasive that took off 2 small pieces of the lining inside the pan (second picture). It is still a beautiful, fully functioning stockpot.
