This is a 12 quart Revere Ware stock pot with a copper bottom. The bottom indicates that it was manufactured in Rome, New York here in the U. I see a number “8” on the bottom to the right of 12 Qt. ; I don’t know what the 8 refers to. The above pot comes with a steamer or strainer and a lid that all fit nicely together. As such, I don’t have any personal knowledge about its history. While I presume that the steamer / strainer and lid are all original to the pot, I don’t see any markings on them. The pot is 9 7/8″ wide at the base and is 9″ tall (as measured from the base to the lip of the main pot without the strainer or lid) to 13 1/4 tall (as measured from the base to the top of the handle of the lid with the strainer in place). This set is structurally sound – the handles for both the pot and steamer / strainer are on there good – no “wiggles” or evidence of past repairs. I noticed only one minor dent, for the first time when taking the photos, on the lid. You can see this dent in the photo of the underside of the lid where it caught the light. While this dent is visible from the top as well (once you’re looking for it), it may or may not be visible in the photographs. Everything does show some degree of use – primarily superficial marks from having wiped or dried off, but other minor discolorations as might be expected. I washed everything prior to taking photos for this listing, so one should not assume that anything will come any cleaner than what is shown in the images with the possible exception of the inside bottom of the stock pot itself. I think that a little vinegar left to soak on the bottom, followed by some steel wool scrubbing may clean the bottom some more. Please refer to the images to form your own conclusions about cosmetic condition. Your opinions take precedence over any subjective opinion of mine.
